I have a basic query that uses a form. I have a plain text field that I am searching on. The data typically looks like nnnnnnnnn-nnn. When I search by using a value such as 123456789-123 it dosen't return any results. If I search by entering the first 9 characters, it returns the expected results. I have tried using the search within the results (magnify glass) and it too fails to return any results when I include the last 4 digits. I also have confirmed that the data does exist in the format via doing a query directly within SQL. One other note is that I had set the field to be indexed. I have since turned that off to see if that was the problem. Unfortunately it had no impact.
Secondly, I have another table that references the same attribute via a shortcut. Within the query for this secondary table I am able to successfully search via the full 13 digits.
Has anyone else experienced this?
