This is probably not an aware problem - just wondering if anyone knows how I can achieve this.
Running V4.7 build 1229 on a VPS and using MailEnable mail server software
Part of my system involves being able to send emails out to all our members - currently around 150. When I do a find and then a send - it just does not happen. I've managed to get it working by slowing the whole thing down by using IN BATCHES OF (currently 5, but trying to optimise this) in the find statement.
I've also tried pick one or more from but when I pick 100 (the max allowed on a list) again, the mail just does not go
The whole thing is now painfully slow and can take 5 minutes to send 150 emails (using a pretty html document - maybe I'll try plain vanilla later) My previous asp version using sendmail took around 15 seconds for the same number of emails
Is there a way I can run the process in background so at least the user can get on with other tasks whilst the mail is being sent
