Currently in the Menu settings you have an option to "Open New Tab" and that works great. I was thinking of a new feature that would help our users.
We like having each Menu selection in its own tab but we do not want every time they select the menu item to get a new tab if it already has one.
For example: We have a menu item that allows a user to query orders by client name and it is used all day long by our customer service reps. Each time they click this menu item it runs a query that ask for the clients name. We would like this menu option to use ONE tab, so if the user selects this menu item and an existing tab is already open this new query will be displayed replacing the existing tab by the same name if it exist.
Maybe an additional check box: Use existing tab if one is already open for this menu item.
The next thing they are going to ask for will be sometimes they need two different tabs. So I would suggest if possible a SHIFT click on a menu item will always open a new tab even if this new check box was selected.
I believe this is the default of most tabbed browsers and would save having to close a bunch of tabs that are no longer used to cleanup the desktop.
