I have a process that needs to go through a select number of records and assign a SPECIAL key.
For example the the key looks something like {nn}{nn}{aa}. A sample key might look like 0103AD. The first 2 digits are static. The 3-4 digits get incremented with every change of Category. The 5-6 digits are reset to 01 with every change of digits 3-4 and incremented for every row thereafter.
So, lets assume I have these records:
Category Item KEY
Baseball Bat 0101AA
Baseball Ball 0101AB
Baseball Glove 0101AC
Soccer Net 0102AA
Soccer Shin Pads 0102AB
Football Helmet 0103AA
Football Shoulder Pads 0103AB
Football Tape 0103AC
How would I accomplish assigning the KEY for something like this within a process?[/list]
