New Calendar

Hi,

I really like the new calendar view, particularly the drag and drop capabilities within the single day view. I am not quite sure whether the scheduling view is working as it was designed? I am just seeing a list of appointments with an empty grid to the right of the list showing empty squares representing a two month calendar.

Is this the correct way that it should show? What is the purpose of the empty squares? Should you be able to interact with this view in any way other than to click on the individual appointments in the list to edit them? What would a typical intended use of this view be? I feel that I must be missing something here.

Hi again,

I now realize that the grid is not actually blank, it is just that the populated days are a very similar shade to the white background and I didn't notice them. They became more obvious when I scheduled a multi-day appointment which I would not normally do.

I realize that you can probably colour the event backgrounds conditionally but perhaps it might make sense to make the default colour a little more prominent? Of course, it could be the palette of my monitor and it shows more prominently on other computers. In which case, sorry for bothering you.

(More drag and drop functionality than just in the single day view would be awesome if it is technically possible.)

Hi,

I'm trying to produce a view of appointment objects similar (I think) to the scheduling view available in the Aware calendar.

Ideally, I'd like to show all the appointments for a particular staff member on the same line of the grid, so that I can view themonthly schedule for that staff member. So a line should show a staff member's name and a coloured cell for each appointment for that person - on the same line.

When I try to do this, each appointment I create appears on a separate line of the grid. That can't be how scheduling is designed to work.

Can someone tell me a bit about the scheduling view ?

Is my requirement above the intended use for the scheduling view ?

If so, how do I achieve it.

PS Is the number of days displayed in the scheduling view configurable ? The default appears to be two months and many of the days in the latter part of that period do not display on my screen, and can't be navigated to. And I also agree - a more vivid cell colouring would be great.
