Replace the Save Button

How do I go about removing the Save and Cancel buttons on a form so that I can replace them with something more specific to the operation? I know that it is doable. I see how I can hide the buttons via the Form design. Just not real sure what he HTML is supposed to look like for my new buttons "Process" & "Exit". These new buttons are supposed to do the same thing as the "Save" and "Cancel".

Ok. I have seen this post before. In your example it illustrates how to start another process via a button on a form. I'm not trying to start another process, but instead just trying to save the data on the form.

What if I don't want to start another process, but instead just want to emulate the Save and Cancel operations?

<button type="button" onclick="AwareApp.saveForm(this)" >Update</button> This is what I am using to replace the standard Save button. I don't see anyway of controlling the Cancel button which appears at the bottom of the form.

make your form opened by a process.

using a VIEW rule

and un-tick the 'Allow user to cancel process' on the process details screen

That will remove the Cancel button.

My form is being called via process. I see what you are talking about. Is there anyway to still have a button that works like the Cancel? I still want to give the user the ability to "exit" without saving, but would like to position this new button next to the other new button I have added.

Have you looked in the User Guide? I think it describes the custom buttom syntax & there should be a setting for wether a form is saves when it's clicked.
