Why is CT-login dialog asking for Business Space?

The button 'Start Configuration Tool' from the ControlPanel opens a dialog with 3 parameters, BS, Username, Password. Why the BS?

As soon as the CT is active, all (?) the BS are visible, what is the special treatment for the BS from the login dialog?

And the 'Operation' button only has 2 parameters, username and dialog.

It opens some default BS, how can a other be selected?

Check the user guide under Login. It contains all the information on different login types and parameters.

Because if you log into a particular business space you may have visibility restrictions for other business spaces - not all business spaces may be visible to all users.

When installing AwareIM the Default BS must be named, the user may not be aware of the consequenses or have the preferred one available . When he later realises what those are, he may want to change to another default BS, and that is not as easy as changing a password.

When the user installs Aware IM he/she has to provide the name of the default application(business space). When the Config. Tool is started this business space is automatically selected in the drop down menu.

Noone ever had any problems with this.
