Email Attachement

My application is sending an email. The body of the email is correct, the email gets sent correctly, but there is a file attached to the email that is a replica of the email body. I don't know how the attachement is being created and I do NOT want it. How do I get rid of it.

Hopefully I am not the only one working over the weekend.

More information.

Looking at my old test emails, the attachments started showing up between June 5 and June 11. I created a new business space and imported a bsv I saved on June 4. I ran a test with this version and the email had an attachement. I have another machine that is running aware build 1206. I created a simpe app to send an email. This email did not have an attachment. Is it possible something changed in Aware to create this attachement?

I really believe the attachment is being created by Aware.

The exact bsv executed under build 1206 does not have an attachment on the email but executed under build 1218 it does.

On the Aware change log for build 1209 the eighth improvement is:
'E-mail message formated in the HTML format are sent as HTML message'

Could this be causing the attachment?

I have nothing in the HTMLMessage of the OutgoingEmail Notification.

I am experiencing something similar but have not had time to get to the bottom of it. I THINK that when the email has another document attached, AwareIM does not add the document you are talking about.

I don't have time to do further testing at the moment, but wanted to concur with your issue.

Never Mind. I got this to work.

I was putting the body of my e-mail in the Message attribute of the notification.

I found out that I had to create a document template and put that as the initial value in the HTMLMessage attribute of the notification.

Was your Document Template a "Html Document" or a "Test document" type?

Did your Document Template contain HTML like <br> for line breaks?

I have 2 working e-mails. Both are "Text document" types.
On the working versions, 1 does not have any HTML like tags and 1 has
a <pre> tag.

When the e-mails were not working the way I expected, neither had HTML.

Thanks for the PRE tag tip. HTML is not my strength. That tag is perfect for this.

I got an attribute to show properly now also.

One last issue. My txt file that I import into the Document Template was Arial font -- size 10. The email sent my AwareIM comes through with Courier New size 12. Did you experience this also?
