BSV change log - Wishlist

Support this is something that I would like to add to the wish list forum.

Frequently configuration is completed on one machine while the actual production environment resides on a server or alternate location. In this scenario the bsv is exported from the configuration machine to the production environment.

Is it possible to add a mechanism to aware that would track the changes made from one bsv to another. It could be tracked in a log file or another bsv. This would be great if it could be tracked on a version level.

I second Bryan's suggestion.

Another possibility would be the ability to compare BSV's to get a list of the differences.

Yes, we have come across this need ourselves. We'll add it to our TODO list.

Could we have the log recorded the Date & Time of the build in addition to the version number or make the version # the date & time.

If possible I would like to suggest the version # be the date and time and this date & time version number of course transfers accross BSV export and imports. I know it would save us some issues.

For example:
Business Space.: CRM
Version Number: 090703.1342
