Document Templates at Runtime

Hi all,

Can someone explain the 'End User Access' features of Document templates to me ?

The guide is a bit sparce on the subject, but the little I've gleaned seems to indicate that a user should be able to view and edit a particular template at runtime.

My question is - how exactly does a user change a template at runtime ?

I'm using Word template files as part of a document merge process using

DISPLAY DOCUMENT MyDoc MERGE INTO ONE

to create a Word merge for multiple clients. I don't understand if the user is supposed to be able to modify the MyDoc template at the merge runtime, and if so, how ?

By the way, the merge works fine, but changes to the template at runtime would be really useful.

Any comment, help, or insight much appreciated 🙂

I think that has to do with the 'old' method of giving users access to docs.

AwareIM expanded UDD capabilities as I described in my forum post (these were improvements I asked AwareIM to make). It included the ability to manage Docs using traditional AwareIM queries, editing forms, access controls, etc.
