BO Groups - is this supposed to work?

I have BO with several child BOs. I have placed all of the child BOs into a BO Group. I have then created a relationship between the parent BO and BO Group using the existing Parent value in the BO Group as the link. I have create a form section on a Parent BO form and have added an attribute for the BO Group which should produce a table of all of the objects in the group. But I get no data.

Is there any reason why this does not work?

I have a similar problem. I have a BO Group that contains all events that take place on a Central BO. I have a reference to the BOG in this Central BO and upon creation of an event it runs an INSERT EventBO IN CentralBO.refBOG.

These are all peer relationships.

It used to work on build 1210 but no longer on 1213

any ideas?

Hello Support? Can you please advise if this is something that should work but doesn't, or if this is beyond the intent of how BO Groups are designed to interact, or what... I would sure like to know.

Okay, it seems I have not been quite clear so I'll try again. Thansk for your patience.

What I want to achieve is exactly what I see in the CRM application where the BO Customer can display related records from the BO Group Communications.

In my application, in CRM terms, I established the BO Group Communications and created an attribute in the Customer BO named Communications of type Communications and related it with the Attribute Customer (called Correspondent in CRM). This is the same as the CRM application. When I place the Communication attribute on a form section, it produces no data. I see the list frame but within it it just says "No Data to Display".

Do I need to establish other relationships to accomplish this?

Does the Customer object relate back to the group? (it has to relate to the group)

If it does, it could be a bug - please send your BSV to support@awareim.com and describe how to reproduce the problem

Well, each of the Group members have a child relationship to the Customer. So they each have a Customer attribute relating back to the Customer. Then the Customer BO has an attribute of the Group BO - like Communications in the CRM application. Is that what you mean?

Yes, the Customer object must refer to the group, not to a particular member of the group.

If this is the case please send us your BSV with the description of steps required to reproduce the problem.
