Problem using FIND when sending emails

There are times when my gliding club wishes to impart urgent information to our members. We currently have a bulk email system which I am trying to covert and build into the Aware system.

Email works fine - no issues there EXCEPT that:

FIND MemberFindEmail (where MemberfindEmail is a query)
enter new Bulkmail (where Bulk email is a non persistent BO 'cos we don't want to keep them)
Send BulkEmail to Members (BulkEmail is the notification BO)

Does NOT work whereas

PICK ONE OR MORE MemberFindEmail
enter new Bulkmail
Send BulkEmail to Members

DOES work

Been on my hols for a few weeks so maybe I've forgotten something simple but my dillema is even setting the number of lines per page to the max of 100, to mail the entire club using the PICK option requires the sender to remember to go through the process twice, switching pages for the second pass

It should work if you specified everything properly. There's no different between FIND and PICK FROM in this context. Check the LogViewer if FIND actually finds anything.
