Attribute - Concatenate Unique Id

Hello,

We have a BO (Customer) which we would like to create an Attribute which automaticly creates a Unique Customer Id based on a formula

example: LAX-83643 (LAX = Local Store Id + Random )

Could anyone please describe this for us?

Where can I place the logic which you mentioned?

The attribute called CustomerId is a plain text - Which is the result of
the "Customer.StoreID=LocalStore.StoreID+RANDOM() "

You should add a rule to the Customer BO.

Tom's idea might not end up as unique because random() could theoretically generate the same number at some future point in time.

There is a system generated attribute for each BO which is ID, so I would suggest a Business Object rule which says

if [your unique id] is undefined then [your unique id] = bo.storeid + bo.ID
