A little graphing help needed

My BO has an attribute that can be one of five options. I want to make a bar graph that shows how many BOs of each. I believe I just don't understand what expressions to enter in the X and Y axis expressions.

Second, is there a reason why a graph can only be placed in the Title or Footer of the presentation? Does it matter?

Actually, I can make the graph, but instead of each bar counting the explicit number of BOs with each attribute, the bars accumulate the number. So let's say I have 3 BOs with attribute 1, 4 with 2, 5 with 3, and 6 with four.

Bar one is 3, bar two is 7, bar three is 12, and bar four is 18.

I have run into this as well and found that if you do not sort on the attribute that you are counting then the results will be off. Try sorting and see if that helps.

Thanks. I am indeed sorting on the attribute that I am grouping by. In my terms, what seems to be happening is that the number of items being counted is not resetting in between bars. I'm unclear whether any of the settings within the reports have any affect on the chart presentation. I just don't know.

Is is possible/practical to add a GROUP BY statement in the Query?

I placed a Group Band into the detail with an expression for BO.Attribute. Then I check the Start New Column box. That seems to have dood it.
