I have an application where a grid is displayed on a tab that is part of the main frame. The data are accounts that are managed by all users of the system. Something that was mentioned to me recently is that if a user selects to view and edit a record from the grid that if they delete the record the screen becomes blank once the record has been deleted. They then have to refresh the entire application by clicking on the home button which then kicks off the initialization process and loads a pop-up application form (exactly like the CRM app).
I know that I can setup the application to act a little different (like have the record open in a new tab as opposed to opening in the same tab) but this is the way that the users want it because when they open in multiple tabs the application gets cluttered with tabs.
Aware even has the same problem on their CRM application on the Aware site. To check this issue, click on the Correspondence tab select any record, once the form is displayed select the 'Delete' button on the form and you will be staring at a white screen. Effectively the correspondence tab is no good to you until you click on the home button and refresh the entire application and click on the pop-up welcome form.
Is there a way around this? My expectation is that if you display a grid and select an object you should be able to delete the record and be returned to the grid where you started or at a minimum be able to continue to use the tab with the grid.
