I have 2 'how to' questions and 1 possible bug I hope to get some help with.
Background:
I am working on a reservation system.
I have several clients who will be booking reservations via my application.
Each client is unrelated to each other and may even compete against each other.
Each client has their own customers and their own web page.
Customers may book their own reservation by visiting a client web page which will have a link to my Aware application.
Customers booking their own reservation will be treated as Guests in Aware and have access to only a simple reservation form.
These customers will not register with the system.
My Aware application will be running in a IFrame within the clients web page.
Question 1:
When linking to Aware from an external web page, is there a way to pass information into aware so that I know which web page they are coming from?
My current solution is to have a Client BO which owns RegularUser. I then set up a special RegularUser with an access level of Guest for each of my clients.
The link from my clients web page to Aware would be:
logonOp.aw?domain=myBusinessSpace&userName=thisClientsSpecialRegularUser&password=thePassWord&tstingMode=false
Since RegularUser is owned by Client, when a guest logs in, I know which client they are booking a reservation with.
I have this link working, but is this the best way to do this? Is it the only way?
Question 2:
When a customer is done submitting a reservation, I want them to be returned to my clients web page automatically.
The following post from 2006 states that this is not possible.
