Version 4.1 Build 1162

Is there anyway to store a theme for a user and then activate that theme when they log in. I have placed a menu item for them to change their theme but they have to do it everytime they log on. I can save their theme within a BO no problem but how do I run a process to activate it?

At the moment you can only do it via a visual perspective - you need to create a specific perspective for the user and set the theme into the perspective. Then set the perspective to be the default one for the access level or open it explicitly in a starup process

Thanks for the idea. I have now set up an initialsiation process to switch themes based on a stored user attribute. Works well so I now have stored themes for users! They will like it however have just found Bobk's issue. The theme colour does not change from the default although I know I have the new perspective being displayed cause the correct menu is showing.

Can you change the theme at startup based on a user preference on regular user without changing perspectives?

How can thsi be done?

It should be possible that an user can select a theme and that this theme is saved for him so he does not have to select the theme over and over again.

What process should I start in the initialisation of the VP and how does this process like like??
