Icons Missing on Main Tabs

I have a bsv that was displaying icons on all of the tabs on the main frame in the administrator visual perspective. I cleared my history and now the icons for the tabs do not display. I checked the bsv and the icon paths are correct for each tab. I then decided to export the bsv and load it as a separate business space and all of the icons work except the ones on the main forms tabs.

I removed all of the icons from the bsv and loaded them back and it didn't seem to make any difference.

Is this a bug with the icons on the tabs or is it possibly an issue with my environment.

This could be some browser caching issue. Do not modify your BSV - the original version should be correct. Try refreshing the browser or change its caching options.

I was never able to get the original icons to load. I then added different icons and the app has been fine until today. I changed the Visual Perspective by removing and then adding back the status bar. After doing that, my main frame icons where again missing. To test if it was the caching I immediately opened the application in IE (I had been using FF) and experienced the same problem.

I exported the latest version of the application and imported into a separate BSV and they are still missing. If I look at the Visual Perspective the icon paths are still present.

Where can I look to see what the application expects for the main form icons? Somehow they are being severed from the presentation. If there is a folder that I can look in to confirm that they are present that would be helpful.

There appears to be a bug in the visual perspective section of the configuration tool.

If you load the CRM bsv and go to the Administrator visual perspective, select the Customers tab on the main frame and then select the button to the right of the 'Show icon' check box and remove the icon path from the form and click ok. Once you attempt to save the VP the application throws an error message:

'Exception while saving the object. Unable to find image file'

I am assuming that this is related to my problem with the icons acting intermittently within the main frame.

I am using version 1206.

We also have experianced the same issue.

Windows Version - 4.6 (Build 1209)

We have tried .gif's and other types
We have confirmed the files size is similar or smaller than current system icons.
We have tried (after clearing the cache) on Fire Fox & IE all with
same result.

Is the "show icon" box unchecked?

Hello,

Yes it is checked to Show Icon and nothing shows up.

No icons for that matter show up with the exception of the "System Menu" icons if you run a test app as Admin.

So, if you load and run one of the sample applications, are you saying that no icons show up?

It seems to have something to do with either the directory in which i placed the Icons or an Endpoint Security agent which we run on our Desktops.

I placed exceptions on all Aware directories, and then shut down all agents which run on the workstation.

This worked!
