It should be a simple thing - but I've wasted three days on this and am no further forward.
When my duty clerks signs in, I want them to see the current day's flying sheet if it has been already started (a session may time out in between flights if it's not a busy day on the airfield.) if no flying sheet exists (ie the start of the day) I want them to enter an new sheet.
I have a process which has two rules and a failure rule
FIND FlyingSheet WHERE FlyingSheet.SheetDate=current_date
EDIT FlyingSheet USING EditTheDay
On the basis that if there is no flyingsheet with the current date, I assume the rule will fail, I have a failure rule which is
ENTER NEW FlyingSheet WITH FlyingSheet.SheetDate=CURRENT_DATE USING Setuptheday
It seems no matter what I try (if exists, if not exists, find, pick from - I've tried them all) I always end up with a list headed "Select Process input". I've even tried setting my system date to a date where I absolutely know there is a sheet for that date and it still brings up this damn "select process input" list up.
Slowly losing the will to live...... help
