Integration to Workflow Systems

Has anyone integrated an open source workflow engine into their Aware application.

Wwe plan to develop the workflows, and then deploy them as part of the Aware application.

This means that the process must be initiated from an Aware perspective or form (with or without parameters being passed in). The workflow may need to run an Aware form, process or report.

The customer must be able to configure aspects of the workflow, such as escalation rules, from our Aware application.

This potentiality was one of my original attractions to AwareIM and I believe it may be on a todo list at AwareIM soemwhere (including a graphical representation of a workflow).

Hi Aware Support, I know we always ask for a roadmap of upcoming enhancements but is there any information you can provide to the community to give us an idea of where you are headed?

The next release will have the following:
1) Google Maps integration
2) Full support for internationalization
3) Interface to change system settings (memory, ports, database etc)
4) A number of minor improvements

Workflow interface is not on the agenda yet - we may include it in the future releases if there is enough demand for it.
