Process FIND within a FIND

We are trying to read data from related business objects and populate that data into another business object.

eg
The user will establish a workflow of steps and actions that need to be performed on each step.

Workflow----<Steps----<Actions

When a workflow is initiated we want to create all of the steps and associated actions.

RequestSteps-----<RequestActions

We have set up a process to handle this as follows:

CreateRequestAction (ProcessInput=Request,RequestStep)

This process fails with:

-15 Executing action CreateRequestIssueAction USING RequestIssue
-34 Value of RequestIssueStep could not be resolved
-Exception while executing process CreateRequestIssueAction. Exception class=java.lang.NullPointerException message null

We are trying to read all of the RequestSteps for the current Request then foreach step found create the RequestActions.

Any ideas??

What does FIND RequestStep WHERE ... doing? The RequestSteps found do not seem to be used further in the process and no RequestStep's are found.

Also set logging to full - it may display more details about what's going on. Also check the output of the Aware IM Server for error messages or a stack trace. If all else fails send us the BSV with the description how to reproduce the problem.

I have looked at the documentstion and can't find what I need to set in the logger.props. Appendix A only has info for BASServer.props, UIConfig.props and webapp.props

At a guess is it log4j.additivity.{something}=true in logger.props

If so which log file do I look at? test.log, system.log, wrapper.log to find out whats happening.

To view the AwareIM Server output, go to the AwareIM Control panel & click on the View button on the Aware IM Server line

To view the logs, go to the AwareIM Control panel & click on the Logging button. There are various options there for minimal, medium and full. There is no reason to open logger.props.

I have AwareIM running as a service so the Control Panel wont work. I have started the Logviewer.bat in the bin directory but it wants me to open a log file.

Am I on the wrong track?

What does FIND RequestStep WHERE ... doing?

We are using this to read each RequestStep that was just created in the process CreateRequestStep to get the Step and Workflow and the read the Actions that match this Step/Workflow from the Action Business Object.

So basically we want the user to select a workflow and on save of the request the process copies the Steps to RequestStep and each steps Actions to RequestAction

The Logs have the following:

There is no "CreateRequestIssueAction" in the processes you provided. I still can't see how RequestSteps found are used in the process below.

Yes its still a problem

The process fails with a messagebox saying "Internal Error" [ok]

I have tracked it down to one process (CreateRequestIssueAction) that I want to copy each Action for each Step created in the previos process. I changed the process to"

I removed the double find and have tried to link:

Action.Step to the current RequestIssueStep
RequestIssueStep.RequestIssue to the current RequestIssue

which in sql should join the two tables together and should insert one or more rows into RequestIssueAction for each step in RequestIssueStep

I can't see anything in the logs to indicate why.
