Date Search Not Working

I a BO called Contacts with an attribute called Date, this is time stamped when te contact is new.

I hae greated a search query of -

Find Contact Where Contact.Date ?'Date'

When this runs for say today nothing is found. But there is data for today?

The date format is dd/mm/yy

If the attribute Date is actually a timestamp type attribute, you will not be able to query / find it using just a date.

In my marketing database I was looking for a way of singling out daily imports and creating a mailshot from the date created.....

There is no problem in doing this. Just use a date type attribute rather than a timestamp type attribute.

Have you tried using "CONTAINS" in place of equal?

Below is the Query I am using

FIND Contacts WHERE Contacts.CompanyName CONTAINS ?'Company Name'

The Attibute is a Date feild but I use this rule to insert the date

If Contacts IS NEW Then Contacts.Date=CURRENT_TIMESTAMP

As as per norm it is not working it returns nothing. The date attribute is in the format of dd/mm/yyyy.....

Are you sure your WHERE clause has the right attribute name. This is not the date attribute you mention later in your post.

Nope sorry it was me again it is -

FIND Contacts WHERE Contacts.Date CONTAINS ?'Date'

I will have to stop rushing around but when your the only IT bod in the company it can be a bit mad at times, well all the time really!
