Process Cancel

Hi,

I am running a process off a rule on a business object. When the object is saved it starts a process to create another object based on a value in the first object.

If the cancel button is pressed during this process, the screen will go to a blank screen instead of back to where the original object was. Perhaps processes shouldn't be run from object rules but is there a way of telling the process that if cancelled it should View the object that started the process ?

Sorry, that was incorrect.

I have a process that is started from a menu item. It creates a business object first. When the data is entered and saved the process then moves on to create another business object based on a value in the first business object. If that object is saved, then the view returns to the first object.

The problem I have is that if the second business object is cancelled, the view just goes to a blank screen. Is there a way of sending it back to the first business object in the way that the save allows the process to complete.

Have you considered having the second object created by a rule of the first object rather than part of your process? If the user is not adding any information in the creation of the second object, this might ensure that it's creation does not get cancelled.

Unfortunately the user is entering data in the second object.

Is it version 4.0 or version 3.0? Can you send a BSV and the description of steps required to reproduce the problem?
