Aware Newbie Question about Email hyperlinks

Apologies for the typos in last post - been out flying all day. the only tools visible on my BulkMail.Mesage attribute in the form are:

bold, Italicise, Underscore, Grow Text, Shrink Text, Font Colour, Background Colour, Align Text Left, centre Text, Align Text Right.

That's it - No hyperlink tool

Final test before my eyes close up completely. Here is the "View Souce" code from the received email where (in AwareIM) I typed the href tag directly into the field

Dear Maurice<br><br><A href="http://ww.dlgc.org.uk">This is a link</A>

As you can see, the < has been replaced with < and > with >

Arrgggghhhh Disaster.

all tools visible in IE but not in Chrome or Safari

hyperlink tool worked perfectly, email received with working link.

Now just need to figure out why not working with other browsers because both Safari and Chrome are gaining in poplarity.

anybody tried this test on firefox, Opera, or Mac browsers?

Ok I've had a sleep. This morning I opned my app in thre separate browers, IE7, Google Chrome and Safari. and went to compose a new email.

In IE I got a full set of editing tool including the ability to change fonts and the hyperlink tool and the one I guess Support has been going on about which allows you to edit the HTML source directly.

In both Safari and Google Chrome, I only got a limited subset as described earlier in the thread. I'In both Safarin and Chrome, I've deleted the cache - just in case they were trying to use cached copies of my form. They weren't - items still missing.

So I'm kinda stuck now guys and gals.... don't know where to go with this one. The club is not like a company with employees you can impose things on. I can't force anyone to use a particular browser. Any Ideas??

So are you saying that the HTML editor works fine in IE and is missing all esential tools in Safari and Chrome?

Yep that's about it. Full set in IE - limited set in Chrome/Safari comprising:

bold, Italicise, Underscore, Grow Text, Shrink Text, Font Colour, Background Colour, Align Text Left, centre Text, Align Text Right.

I'll try to put some sceeen shots in a separate post - But never tried it before

You are right - this is an EXT limitation. Nothing we can do about it right now. Should remain a limitation
