Thanks all for steering me towards the indexes as being issue. Unfortunately, it was some of the MySql documentation that threw me off with the original process. It turns out the following process does not copy the underlying table structure fully.
Script that copies all data but drops all of the indexes:
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS bastestdomaincrm2_contact;
CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS bastestdomaincrm2_contact SELECT * FROM bastestdomaincrm_contract;
The following script provides a full solution for copying data from one business space to another with the indexes for the tables being maintanted.
Example:
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS bastestdomaincrm2_contact;
CREATE TABLE bastestdomaincrm2_contact LIKE bastestdomaincrm_contract;
INSERT INTO bastestdomaincrm2_contact SELECT * FROM bastestdomaincrm_contract;
The key to maintaining the indexes is the creation of the table using the LIKE statement which creates a blank table with the exact structure of the source table. Then you simple populate the table with the appropriate data using the INSERT INTO statement.
