Creating a Group

I am trying to figure out the best way to approach this type of setup:

I have a BO called Users. This is associated with the System User BOG and is an intelligent BO for sending emails.

I also have a BO called Groups.

Users can be assigned to groups and can be members of multiple groups.

Here's where I am stuck...

I would like to control certain items in the application based on the Group (instead of the individual Users).

An Example would be that I would like to send an Alert to all of the users assigned to the 'New York' group (instead of selecting the Users separately).

Another Example might be restricting the visibility and navigation for different groups.

I'm sure that this is simple but I am having difficulty finding the best way.

To send an alert to everyone in a certain group:

1- Create process that includes:
a-FIND RegularUser WHERE Groups IN RegularUser.MyGroups
b-rules to create and send the email alert

2- Make a query that lists groups. One operation of the query would run the process in #1 above.

3- Run the query & select which group to send email alert to.

Great advice!

I new it would be something simple. It is difficult to spend all day in VB6 and .NET and then get into Aware world...but it is always so worth it.
