Truncating null address line in word document

Hi folks

can someone guide me as to how I can omit my address line 2 if blank?

My word document has the following tag elements:

<<CustomerAddress.Attn>>
<<CustomerAddress.AddressLine1>>
<<IF CustomerAddress.AddressLine2<> THEN SHOW CustomerAddress.AddressLine2 >>
<<CustomerAddress.Suburb.Name>> <<CustomerAddress.Suburb.State>> <<CustomerAddress.Suburb.PostCode>>

However, there is an offending carriage return on the conditional line which renders a blank line in the customer address (exactly what I don't want!)

There might be easier ways to tackle it, but here is one idea:

1- make a new attribute in the BO called LastLine
2- have a rule that builds LastLine with suburb + state + post code
3- have a conditional on 3rd line of your word doc to either show AddressLine2 or LastLine.
4- have a conditional on 4th line to show LastLine or nothing.

Thanks guys - I originally tried both methods without success - I really wanted to get John's approach working. In the end, I used Tom's. cheers
