Awareim - New user - Structure Question

Hi,

I'm busy reading through the whole manual, but I struggle to figure out how to use AwareIM in certain scenarios.

Take cellphone bills as an example:

If you have BO call with date and duration as attributes.

You should be able to calculate the cost of this call from different providers/products.

Each product / provider is, in my mind, a set of rules.

So my question is:

Can you store different SETS of rules and then based on a choice, only use one set to calculate the cost?

or how would you do this?

You would create your desired results using IF statement along with other functions. Though this would al depend on exactly what you want to do.

Take a look under the hood in the sample apps. That should give you a good understanding

It is not clear from your description how you want to calculate the cost of a call and what other business objects you have.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by sets of rules either. In Aware IM rules are attached to a particular business object and are invoked when data of a particular instance of this object changes (for example, when an instance has been modified by the user).

As Christopher said, please have a look at the sample applications and read the Library Case Study document. Or explain in more details the problems you are having.
