Dear AwareIM,

Is there any estimated timeframe behind receiving the release candidate of v. 3.0? I am particualarely interested in the Mac version.

Great looking stuff in the V3 demos at http://www.awareim.com/sample_applications.html -- especially the CRM demo. And I'm intrigued by the RSS feed in the Ordering demo.

Neat stuff!! Can't wait to load it up & get to work on a new app!

Is there any way that users who waited patiently and had their licenses expire during the long wait for 3.0 might be able to obtain a price break on the upgrade to version 3.0?

It will cost me $750 dollars to upgrade which is mighty painful.

I hope that I am not being unreasonable.

Hi,

I find myself in the same boat but to present a different perspective, I feel that we need to support the AwareIM development team in their efforts. It is our maintenance fees and new sales that will ensure that AwareIM continues to survive financially and allow them to further improve the product. In my mind, the quality of the support alone is worth the money.

I would ask the question though whether the renewal of my license is active for 12 months from when it expired or from the date that I pay the fee?

Well, I am off now to try and find $750.

Hey Pete,

I can see that Aware has answered me indirectly. I will do as you do and try to come up with an extra $750.

I will probably wait until the next release so that most of the bugs can be worked out in the product. Hopefully by then the Common Controls forms will be gone and Aware will be using Ext JS version 2.0.
