Custom Presentation

Hello all,
I notice when using a query with a custom presentation the "Operations" & "Buttons" do not "gray" out such as "Item Rules". Though neither show when viewing the custom presentation?

Is this a bug or something different?

Hi Chris,

I'm not sure I understand the question, but generally item rules apply to standard query presentation. Information shown in custom presentations can be controlled by conditional elements.

Maybe this will clarify - When using query with a custom presentation you are allowed to select or unselect "buttons" and "operations" but not "item rules". The items you can select (ie, buttons and Operations) do not show when you view the custom presentation as they would with the standard presentation.

So why would those items be available to select, change or edit if they do not seem to do anything when using a custom presentation?

On a side note is there away to make a presentation printable much like a report?

Hi Chris,

You are right, the options should not be available for custom presentations. Please ignore the options for custom presentations.

Reports and presentations have compatible design. You can export your presentation design, create a report and import the design into the new report. Reports are created in PDF and can be easily printed.
