Hello out there. I am just starting to test Aware (two days ago) and have downloaded the demo onto a Linux Kubuntu (feisty) machine with xampp (for testing purposes) installed.
I am quite impressed with this product as far as I can see now.
So please bear with me, I am absolutely new to this.🙂
What we are trying to set up is the following:
An online reservation system for a travel agency using mysql as DB.
We need the following possiblities:
- A user interface where the travel agent can add/subtract destinations (Hotels, Countries, cities, etc), change prices and offerings, description, pictures, etc.
As far as I can see this step should not be a problem.
-Generation of a html webpage configured to the layout and design of our choice.
My questions are the following:
How do I set up Aware to use mysql directly instead of derby.
Can I set up aware so it generates a webpage (for the public) to our design demands (Layout, functionality, searchfields, pics, etc)?
Do we have to install Aware on a ISP using its mysql DB?
If not how will the user interface function?
Any suggestions or howto's are greatly appreciated.
