Drop Down List Problems

I require to have a drop down which is dependent on another drop down.

ie when i select the value from the first drop down, it changes the contents of the second drop down list.

The problem I am having is as follows:

I have the following BO's:

books
main categories
sub categories

Each main category has several subcategories (via reference). Each book can belong to one main category and to a subcategory determined from the selection of the main category.

So for eaxmple, if I register a book called "War and Peace", I can then select the main category "Fiction" and then select from the list of subcategories available under fiction....for example: "Good fiction", "Bad Fiction" and "Medium Fiction"....etc.

What would the rule look like for something like this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

1- BO: Contact
Attribute: Replies.

You'll find a filter using Rule Form there.

2- BO: Member
Attribute: Loans

You'll find a filter using Simple Form there.

Forgot to ask: Does this filtering dynamically apply to the page the user is on? So do I just check the dynamic feature box on the advanced rule tab?
