Feature request re: Opening Document attribute type

I have an application with a form which provides a link to a PDF copy of a document document. The only option today when opening up that PDF within AwareIM is to click on the icon on the AwareIM form, answer an Open / Save / Cancel question, then open the PDF in a NEW full screen window.

Suggestion: allow a Document attribute type to open the document on a form in 3 ways -- similar to AwareIM's current functionality for URLs as a Menu option in a Visual Perspective. There you can add a URL to a PDF & direct it to open in the Main AwareIM window, a new window, or Full screen. To open a URL link to a PDF from the menu, you also do not have to answer the Open / Save / Cancel question. It's VERY slick.

Any possibility of adding this functionality?

There was a problem in one of the earlier builds when opening a document required you to answer Open/Save/Cancel questions. This problem should be fixed in the latest build. What is the build number you are using?

It should be as simple as clicking on on icon and Aware IM should automatically open a document.

Does anyone else have an application storing PDFs in a document type attribute of a BO? If so, are you are to open it in one click vs. what I described above? :?

I face the same issue. I am wondering if it has to do with the browser version and security settings. I don't remember having the same issue when I was using the previous version of IE. I will check it out in Firefox and Netscape and let you know if it is any different.

Sorry for misleading you - this is not a bug. You do have to click on Open to view the document.

So, back to my original question. I'm curious if there a technical reason why you have to click "Open" for PDFs stored within AwareIM while having an AwareIM URL link to a PDF can open with no extra steps?

There is an object BO A. And File attribute type of document (BOA.File1).
There is a query of BO A where BOA.File1 is defined.

Is there an action that can be used as a process in that query in order to directly open File1 of a particular item BOA?

I just thought that it is used only for templates and reports. :o
BOA.File1 is a file that is uploaded by user. in most cases it is Word doc.
