Web Deployment - Flash Template Main Page

eyeargan

I would like to use a flash web template as my main page with a link to localhost:8080/AwareIM/logonGuest.do?domain=mybusinessspace.

Currently I am planning to host my small app from home on a Linux box I recently loaded with Ubuntu.

If I am running AwareIM as my only server environment, is all this possible?

If so, how should configure the flash page.

I thought of simply importing it as the Main Page for Guest, but i would have to turn off the Banner for the whole app and I can't do that.

One of the ways to do this is create an HTML page with FLASH. The page should have a link that invokes the Aware IM system. The link should be to the Aware IM URL: localhost:8080/AwareIM/logonGuest.do?domain=mybusinessspace

Then put this HTML page into AwareIM/Tomcat/webapps/AwareIM directory. Users will then be able to access this page through the following URL:

http://yourServerIPAddressOrDNSName:8080/AwareIM/YourFlashPage.html

When they click on the Aware IM link Aware IM system will start.

I think this is what I am looking for, but I would like to be able to just tell people www.whatever.com rather than www.whatever.com:8080/AwareIM/etc..... Is this possible at all?

Thanks.

You need to check with the company where your domain is registered to see if they provide redirection services where you can nominate a URL for a domain name.
