Web Deployment - Redirecting Tomcat

In another topic, I asked the following:

1) Assuming I change the port to 80, can I instruct my server to redirect requests from simply domain.com to domain.com/Aware/logonOp.jsp do? domain=businessspace ??

The answer I received from Aware was 1) Yes.

Can someone please tell me how?

You need to check with the company where your domain is registered to see if they provide redirection services where you can nominate a URL for a domain name.

Thanks, but I understand about that.
What I meant to ask was is there a way to provide Tomcat with a string to replace the incoming URL with.

Not sure I understand. Could you please give more details, examples?

For example, my URL is currently pointing at my IP.
If configure Tomcat to listen on Port 80, then Tomcat should "hear" requests made when someone who enters my URL in their browser.

Although I have NO EXPERIENCE with this, it seems logical that Tomcat could be instructed to reply to ALL requests entering by port 80 with the same login page.

I only have one app for now, so that would solve my problem.
Other wise, I will have to forward my URL to a second URL:8080/Aware/logonOp.jsp do? domain=businessspace.
