I think I am making this process too complicated. I am simply trying to import an Excel spreadsheet into AWARE IM and have AWARE IM as the active DB. Here are the 3 methods I used and the error messages that I am getting. Maybe you can direct me, procedurally on how to proceed.
Method 1
1) I created a business object (Providerinformation) with several attributes
2) Under Persistence - selected "Database AWARE IM Automatic
3) Under Edit Rule (textual), named IMPORTDATA I entered
IMPORT Providerinformation FROM 'D:/my documents/care/dcc care sampler.csv' in batches of 100
Error = Rule " " uses business object 'Providerinformation' which has not been found
Method 2
1) Using Import at the version level
Error = Exception while loading business space version invalid stream header
Method 3
1) In Operation Mode
2) Selected "Standard" operation then IMPORT
3) Business object choices were a) Regular User or b) System Settings, I selected Regular User
4) I browsed and selected the file in Data File and then selected Import
Error = Operation error. Invalid description of data column name. It must start with Regular User.
At this point I am desparate. I have exhausted the directions in the User Manual and checked for assistance under the Forum questions.
What am I doing wrong!
