barcode problem

I have a rule in a business object that reads as follows.

If InvoiceLineItems.Title IS UNDEFINED Then
FIND Titles WHERE Titles.Barcode=InvoiceLineItems.Barcode
InvoiceLineItems.Title=Titles

This rule used to trigger description, artist, etc (which are all shortcuts) etc when a barcode was entered for a lineitem. It is now not working and for the life of me I cannot tell why.

I noticed that I started having a problem with it after installing version 2.2. I do not know however if that is actually the case. Please help.

Use the Log Viewer to see what happens when you create or update an InvoiceLineItems object. Check if an instance of Titles is found and assigned to InvoiceLineItems.Title when the rule is executed.

Hi Support,

The log shows the following.

Executing Action FIND Titles >Found 0 objects

Executing action InvoiceLineItems.Title=Tiles

Value of Titles could not be resolved.

This means the system cannot find Titles with the barcode entered for the line item. Have a look earlier in the Log Viewer to see the value assigned to InvoiceLineItems.Barcode, then check that there is an instance of Titles with this barcode value in the database.

Hi Support,

I am now getting really concerned. I have tested the 5 Business Spaces that I used the above methods on. In all cases the rule was working. It now not working in any of the business apces.

Hi Alan,

it is unlikely that anything has changed in version 2.2. You need to find out why FIND action returns 0 objects and provide a more detailed explanation of what is happenning. Stating that something isn't working any more doesn't help.

Please inspect the log carefully and tell us what is going on. The log should be able to tell you all the story.

Alternatively please purchase a support ticket and we will have a look.

Hi Support,

Ok. I have corrected the trigger problem.

I get all the line item details appearing etc. But when i click save on the invoice the line items disapear.
