The trick is that Grok and CoPilot are not very good at code.
Use Claude Code. Spooky good.
I have a massive Process that recalculated Employee Salaries in a super complicated jurisdiction. Hundreds of Sub Processes etc. Used to take 50-55 seconds to run and was unsustainable.
Told Claude to convert the entire thing to a Stored Procedure in Maria DB.
On the first pass it was 90+% right.
Took a couple of weeks fine tuning, tweaking and me rethinking some of my nutcase logic that Claude pointed out to me was inconsistent and not logical. But the Stored Procedure it created is 7,000 lines long and work like a dream. Instead of 50-55 seconds….. it now take 0.9 seconds.
Seriously, even for a career SQL expert this would have taken an enormous amount of time and most would have just run away.
In addition, (good tip for when ever you are doing this) once you get something working, tell Claude to write a clear, concise and detailed .md file including implementation step by step. not only is it good for you to go back and remember what was done, Claude can also use it if you want to revisit the code at a late date.
Here is the .md file for this Upload Button thing. Open it in Sublime or Obsidian or some other markdown file reader rather than just notepad.

Enjoy.
