This is mighty annoying. Filter number formatting

INTEGER field should not display with decimals in a filter box.
Makes the column/box have to be wider than needed (to fit “.00”) and is just annoying.

anyone have an idea of how to change it using JS ?

If you add the following script as a custom JavaScript, it resolves the issue. Please note that you have to add your field specific headings example RO# to this variable in the script:

Here’s my “RO#” FILTER field before I type anything into it.

And after entering 111 and tabbing:

The filter line still shows:

Should this be Init or Render script?

I have it in both.

Actually… I lied.

If I enter a bogus value like 111, then it finds no recs and shows 111.00

But if I enter a valid RO # and tab, then it shows it correctly with no decimal.

Now if we could only find out why Vlad set all the Filter “tabindex” values to “-1”

For years we have been able to tab forward/backward through the Filter boxes.

If I wanted to change a Filter value, I would often click in the filter box TO THE RIGHT and then SHIFT-TAB backward into the value I wanted to change. This would SELECT the text and I simply entered my new value.
Now this doesn’t work because of tabindex.

I manually set my first 4 tabindex values in my grid, since I had it open checking your code.
And tabbing to/from works, except for this age old issue where when I tab into the numeric field, it doesn’t select it but puts the caret in front of the number. –aargh

WELL, this is weird. My MAIN grid that is used by almost all users, all day, DOES NOT tab across the Filter Fields AT ALL.

But other grids work like they used to. So I’m not sure why this functionality is messed up on one grid (that I have found). Pretty sure there are no settings to disable tabbing across Filter fields.
