Yes, Aware IM has very powerful support for hierarchical data, probably more powerful than other RAD tools working with relational databases. It is based on the ability of a business object to have a reference to objects of the same type. The number of levels in the hierarchy is unlimited.
You can use a Tree presentation on data forms to show hierarchical data dynamically. With a single click the user can expand an item in the tree, for example an organizational unit in a company, to see other units within the expanded unit. The user can continue to drill down and see more nested items in the tree.
You can also use hierarchical data in business rules. Aware IM reports let you have unlimited level of sub-reports to show details of an object within its container object in the hierarchy.
