Printing problem

Hi Support,

I have now installed a runtime as a service on win 2003 server.

The system was printing correctly before I setup AwareIM as a service.

When I access the system in operational mode I get the following error when trying to print.

Operation error. Error filling report ../DocTemplates/UNSWMEDSOC_5.0/DocTemplates/105/105/RDDoc58908.rdd Error printing report. java.awt.print.PrinterException No print service found

The server has a printer installed and prints test fromthe printer driver without a problem.

Suggestions would be much appreciated.

Not sure what the problem is but the educated guess is that there is no printer access for the Aware IM service. Try the following (not sure if it will work but worth a try):

Go to Services in Windows Control Panel, find Aware IM service
Select the service, right click and select Properties
In the properties dialog find the logon property. Specify the user that has access to printers (e.g. administrator) rather than the default user
Do the same for the Tomcat service

You probably need to reboot after this.

Thanks for the help on this. The system is now using the admin account as suggested and printing is working very well.
