joftech Hi Support, I was just wondering how schedules run. I have a POS solution that I want to convert to AwaireIM. It is running across 6 locations. Data is sent to head office every 30 min. Do the schedules in AwareIM run as background processes ie would the users be aware of say a data exchanges between locations Alan
aware_support Yes, schedules run as background processes, but I don't understand the question whether users will be aware of data exchanges. Can you elaborate?
joftech If the sytem waqs importing and exporting data via a schedule would the current user logged onto the system be aware of the schedule running. I suppose the real question is where does the schedule run from. The serv er or the client machine. Alan
aware_support Scheduled tasks run on the server on the designated time. There is no way for the user to know that it is running other than looking at the data that is being changed by the task.
