Logged in Users

Has there been any progress on being able to see logged in users in the new version.

I created a business object for log ons. I then created a login notification that wrote a row to the BO with user name and date time. I then created a logout notification that was meant to find the users login entry on the logon BO and delete it. The idea being then to query the logon BO to see who was on at any time. I coudln't get the deletion to work and the initial login notification seemed to slow the system down.

Any other possibilities ?

You have done everything correctly. Why couldn't you delete it? What happened? The login notification should not slow the system down, unless you have many rules attached to the object you create.

FYI: We use this type of Login/Logout, Active user logging system and it works great. We also have several login/logout reports etc and have no problems with it.

I must be doing something wrong on finding and deleting the entry, I will try again.

Hi, I am still having problems here. I have two business objects, one called OperatorLoggedIn and the other Operator Log.

The first I want to use to create an entry when the operator logs on and then delete it when they log off. This will allow a show logged in users report.

The other is an on going record of User login and logout.

1)
CREATE OperatorLoggedIn WITH OperatorLoggedIn.LoggedInName=LoginNotification.LoginName
CREATE OperatorLog WITH OperatorLog.LoggedInUser=LoginNotification.LoginName,OperatorLog.Logged=CURRENT_TIMESTAMP,OperatorLog.Action='In'

FIND OperatorLoggedIn WHERE OperatorLoggedIn.LoggedInName=LogoutNotification.LoginName
DELETE OperatorLoggedIn
CREATE OperatorLog WITH OperatorLog.LoggedInUser=LogoutNotification.LoginName,OperatorLog.Logged=CURRENT_TIMESTAMP,OperatorLog.Action='Out'

Can you advise what I am doing wrong.

Everything seems to be fine. So what is the problem? When you are saying that you couldn't get deletion to work what happens? What does the log say?

Actually nothing happens.

No entry is created in either the OperatorLoggedIn or OperatorLog.

At one stage I had it creating an entry in OperatorLoggedIn but I must have had something different and looking back at the previous config it seems the exact same.

What does the log say? Is there any record in the log that it started processing the rules of the login/logout notification?

There is no record in the log of processing login logout notification.

I have sent this config to support for an issue with querying dates.
