We've always struggled with logging. We want to make it accessible to our dev team without:
- providing them server privileges
- confusing the heck out of them
Suggestion to Support:
a. have a SystemSetting/s called "Logging" ON/OFF etc (eg similar to the logging options in the control panel now)
b. when it is ON then the logs for that bsv only will be piped to a table in the DB
b. add some menu items in the "Standard" menu with queries to view these logs
c. have some button to delete the logs (so you can clear them out)
This way a developer can run a process while testing, see the rules fire, and/or the ERRORs, just by running a query in the browser. And it's right in the browser alongside their testing. They can also put a filter on the timestamp column to just see the results for only their BSV for the 5 minutes they are testing (this alone is one of the biggest issues with the current logging, you get all BSVs results in your logging window and it VERY hard to read).
