Why do I get this message when I go to forum?

I keep getting this message when I try to go to Aware forum? Why is that?
No other sites or forum shows this to me.

Support told me the site had been attacked. So I wonder this new message is part of Attack prevention? If yes, it looks a bit intimidating and unprofessional.

That's a little harsh, sadly DoS attacks are not something that support has control over. The Internet is still the wild west and on a positive note, there was some level of mitigation/prevention in place.

Just annoying 🙂

I connect via a VPN and get it every so often, I just presumed it was because I was using a VPN that looks like it generates infeasible amounts of traffic from one address
