Any way creating Real-Time notification than Polling?

Is there a way to create real-time notification in Aware when some data changes in a table, than doing constant polling, which is inefficient on Aware server.

Suppose a manager changes the status of a data record that another user is assigned to that record. Is there a way, when that user is loggedin to get a notification saying who it came from and what is all about, without the user's VP doing constant polling?

I am keen to find a solution to this as well, lately every darn website I visit I get a Push Notification authorisation request.

I wonder if this could be a solution. The current PUSH notification feature in AwareIM is only valid for Android and IOS, but not Windows

Using the Push API, a W3C standard, Firefox receives a push message and can show notifications (if permitted by the user)

Maybe AwareIM can tap into this browser feature, no need to go through a 3rd party as its supported by the browser, even when you are logged out

I'm not talking about the "Mobile Push Notification". I'm talking about the browser Toast notification that we can produce.

Many apps, when data changes you can have events hooked to them to send notification or execute a process and etc, than doing loop polling.

we talked about this at the last conference - I believe Vlad's answer was to MESSAGE ASYNC, but that won't work.

The way I presented it was:
If a server process received an inbound email notification, (or inbound SMS message), then I'd like the server to display a message on that users screen (if they are logged in) that a new msg has arrived.
LAST THING I want to do is constantly redraw a badge every 15 seconds multiplied by every user logged in on a SAAS app.

A major shortcoming in the product, IMHO.

STAY AWAY from MESSAGE ASYNC , especially in a process with other rules.

Polling doesn't work in a large SaaS with lots of users. You kill the server and bandwidth.
Secondly jQuery on the client side doesn't have "Reactive Data Binding" framework like Angular, React and Vue to propagate all the UI components on the page with new data. This is one of the major handicaps using jQuery based components.

I agree, we need an efficient push mechanism, but in the meantime instead of redrawing the badge every 15 seconds why not redraw based on some spontaneous action by the user, like every on 15th mouse movement or on a save action. On the Auto Refresh settings, there are other options besides every X amount of seconds
