"Session Timeout" does not get transferred from RegUser

When I create a NEW User BO and then try to put it as part of "System User Group" a dialog shows the lists of attributes that get transferred from Regular User to our new user. However the new "Session Timeout" attribute does NOT get transferred. Is this a Bug? If yes, what is correct way to add it to our already created User BO, if I'm not using "RegularUser Bo" as my User BO and I leave RegularUser BO alone.
And this raises the anotherquestion. If I only have ONE type of User, is it better to add all my attributes to RegularUser BO or should I leave RegularUser BO alone and create my own User BO, as I have now.

That’s a good question.
I always try and avoid groups unless I absolutely have to. Because of the extra overhead from the UNION queries that must happen.
