I must be looking at this wrong...
I have a query where I want to control what operations can be performed based on who is logged in and what record(s) they are looking at.
So, in my query, Operations with Records, I have defined an Edit operation where it is Applicable if
"LoggedInRegularUser=TimeOff.Employee"
TimeOff.Employee is automatically filled in when a Time Off Request record is created and defaults to LoggedInRegularUser.
The creation of the record works great and I can even run a query where it only shows records that were created by the person logged in using:
FIND TimeOff WHERE LoggedInRegularUser=TimeOff.Employee
In a different query though, I want to show all records, but only allow the edit button to show up if the criteria above is met. Instead the 'Edit' button is showing up for all records, regardless of it meeting the set criteria.
Isn't that how the 'Applicable' part of the General Settings on the Operations with Records should work, or am I missing something here?
Thanks,
Jim
