{SOLVED} Windows Server 2016 installation issue

Moving to a new server for 8.1 and ran into issues with Aware IM with Windows Server 2016.

When installing AwareIM 8.1, I was only able to run the Control Panel once .. during the installation routine. Then at supports suggestion, I did the following with the same result:

1) Uninstalled AwareIM
2) Removed remaining AwareIM folder & restarted the server
3) Downloaded latest build 2466 demo version
4) Installed AwareIM on Drive E
5) Created Initial BSV when prompted to do so in install process
6) Started Configuration Tool from Control Panel
7) Put Initial BSV in test mode and logged into it. All looked fine
7) All was OK, so I closed the Config Tool & Control Panel.
8-) Ran CP.exe from E:\AwareIM\CP\eclipse\CP.exe

Got the error message: "An error has occurred. See the log file null"

I found a couple clues.

When I started the Config Tool in step #6 below, I discovered this window under the Config Tool window:

Then when attempting to open the Control Panel after step #7, I now searched for a log & found one at E:\AwareIM\CP\eclipse\configuration

A txt file had these contents:

Following the trail of: MESSAGE Error reading configuration: E:\AwareIM\CP\eclipse\configuration\org.eclipse.osgi.manager.fileTableLock (Access is denied)

At C:\AwareIM_8\CP\eclipse\configuration\org.eclipse.osgi.manager

I found 3 files:
.fileTable.1
.fileTable.2
.fileTableLock

It is possible that the Windows account you are running with does not have privileges to write a file, hence "Access Denied"

Try to run it as administrator.

Even if your user is a member of the "administrators" group, you still have to run the CP as administrator. Otherwise, it can not write to the log files and throws an error.

You were correct, Bruce! I learned from our system admin that the shortcut to the AwareIM Control Panel could be easily adjusted to run as administrator by using #2 at:
