Going to pursue Support's recommended method of allowing REST to format the JSON string when needed. May come back to this in the future.
Thx
Have been wondering about this for a while.
Need to find someone (or more) who are interested in making a Java Plugin to create a JSON object.
UNLESS, of course, Vlad already has one... or is planning to add some functionality in the future.
Things I would be wondering about...
1) Does it need to handle arrays (in the first version)?
2) Do we pass it 1 record of data and it builds the string from all those fields?
3) Do we pass it a "proper" context and it reads data from the database and it builds the string from all those fields? (meaning it can return many rows in the result)
4) Is there a consensus to build this for SQL back end required - and thus we can load records into a temp table and it puts all that data into JSON?
just a few ideas.
Jaymer...
